Yard to Table, Wednesdays through Aug. 5

St. John Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills hosts its free Yard to Table garden series every Wednesday at 6 p.m., with sessions running through at least Aug. 5.

The church, at 23225 Gill Rd., describes the weekly gathering as "some time in the garden, a meal, and some community." Participants can stay for dinner and fellowship indoors in air conditioning. No registration is required. The next session is Wednesday, July 23.

The program has its own Facebook page at facebook.com/YardToTableFH, where the church posts weekly updates.

Mini-Vacation Bible School, July 24–25

North Congregational Church, 36520 W. 12 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills, hosts a free two-day Mini-Vacation Bible School on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25. Both days run 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The theme is "Farm Fresh Faith." The church says the program is geared toward preschool and elementary-aged children, though adults and older kids are welcome to join. Registration is available through a Google Form linked on the church's Facebook page.

Praise in the Park, July 26

The Praise in the Park benefit concert returns for its second year on Sunday, July 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Shiawassee Park on Power Road in Farmington. The event features Christian music group Sanctus Real, food trucks, bounce houses, local vendors and giveaways.

Another Way Pregnancy Center, a Farmington Hills-based nonprofit, hosts the concert. Admission is free, though organizers encourage attendees to bring a baby item donation to support local families. Registration is strongly encouraged at awpcfriends.org/events.

The concert runs rain or shine.
