Farmington Public Schools families won't see their children's fall schedules until they complete the district's annual online registration, which opens Monday, August 3.
The requirement applies to every returning student across the district's 16 schools. Parents must log in to MiStar ParentConnection and submit updated information before the district will release class schedules for the 2026-27 school year. The first day of school is Monday, August 24.
Deadlines differ by grade level. K-8 families must finish by August 16. High school families at Farmington High School and North Farmington High School have until August 19, according to the district's registration page. That gives K-8 parents less than two weeks from the August 3 opening to complete the process.
How to register
MiStar ParentConnection is the same portal families use to check grades and attendance throughout the year. The district posted full instructions at farmington.k12.mi.us/page/new-annual-online-registration.
The district said on its website July 9 that all families must register their students for the upcoming school year through the portal. Farmington Public Schools first announced the August 3 opening date on June 1 via its official social media accounts and posted a reminder with a timeline graphic on July 14.
The district has not specified what happens if a family misses the deadline. Its announcements state only that registration must be completed before schedules are released.
