The Farmington Falcons, ranked No. 258 in Michigan, host No. 46 South Lyon in a non-conference volleyball match at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Farmington High School.

The gap between the two programs is wide on paper. South Lyon (13-8-1) holds a .614 win percentage and ranks No. 30 among Michigan Division 1 teams, according to MaxPreps. Farmington (1-3-1) is No. 103 in Division 1 and has won just three sets against eight lost in the 2026 season.

The Falcons dropped their most recent match to Salem on Saturday, Sept. 12, falling in straight sets 24-26 and 14-25 at a neutral-site tournament.

Senior outside hitter Kennedy Duncan leads South Lyon's attack with 184 kills and 239 receptions through 22 matches. Middle hitter Abby Dafforn has recorded 23 blocks and 34 serving aces. Defensive specialist Mia Provagna anchors the back row with 150 digs, and setter Mari Hardin has tallied 245 assists.

As a team, the Lions have piled up 552 kills, 141 serving aces and 758 digs in the 2026 season. They have won 29 sets and lost 20. South Lyon averages 23.6 points per first set in victories, compared with 19.8 for Farmington.

The Lions have built much of their record at neutral-site tournaments, going 9-5-1 in those settings. Their home mark is 1-1, and they are 3-2 on the road.
