North Farmington's varsity boys soccer team dropped to 0-4 after a 6-1 loss to Walled Lake Northern on Tuesday, Aug. 25, continuing a difficult start in which the Raiders have allowed 24 goals through four games.

The latest loss came one day after North Farmington fell 4-0 to South Lyon at home in Farmington Hills. That game was scoreless at halftime before South Lyon scored all four goals in the second half. MaxPreps lists the Aug. 24 result as a 4-0 South Lyon win.

North Farmington opened the season Aug. 19 with an 8-0 loss to Groves, then lost 6-1 to Walled Lake Northern on Aug. 21. The Aug. 25 rematch with Walled Lake Northern ended by the same 6-1 score, according to MaxPreps.

Through four games, North Farmington has scored two goals and allowed 24:

  • Groves 8, North Farmington 0
  • Walled Lake Northern 6, North Farmington 1
  • South Lyon 4, North Farmington 0
  • Walled Lake Northern 6, North Farmington 1

The Aug. 24 South Lyon match was classified as non-conference even though both schools are listed as Lakes Valley Conference members for 2026. The Lakes Valley Conference boys soccer page lists both North Farmington and South Lyon among 2026 member schools.

Recent postseason context

North Farmington had more success in recent district play. In 2024, the Raiders beat Lakeland 3-2 in a shootout and then defeated Walled Lake Central 4-0 in the second round of the MHSAA District tournament, according to Lakes Valley Conference records.

Their 2025 postseason ended with a 2-0 first-round loss to Lakeland, according to the 2025 conference records.

North Farmington is scheduled to play at South Lyon at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in a rematch of the Aug. 24 game. MaxPreps lists the matchup here.
